Breath

The word ‘inspire’ is derived from the Latin Root- ‘Inspirare’

inin (“into”) + spirare (“to breathe”) to breathe life in

We all enter this life with an inhale, and will leave with an exhale— taking millions of breaths in between. Yet most move through life disconnected from this essential rhythm.

When we become consciously aware of  our breath,  our nervous system recallibrates, our mind softens and our body remembers its innate wisdom in Being, Human.

The breath is always available, A stabilizing force within you.

Ancient traditions revere the breath, referred to as:

Prana is life force in Indian philosphy

Qi is energy in Chinese Medicine.

Modern science is emerging with research that shows the power of Breathwork to:

  • reduce physical tension and stress

  • improve emotional regulation and resilience

  • relief of anxiety and depression

  • enhance cognitive focus and clarity

  • increase BOLT score (measure of vitality)

  • improve heart coherence (optimum well-being)

Breathing Room

Your only responsibility is to be here and Breathe

1st Saturday of every month 3pm @ yoga Soup

Breathing Room is a space to breathe deeper and hear beyond the noise. Life is loud and all too busy to notice the wisdom within. This breathwork journey is your invitation in…

Each session begins with grounding practices and gentle breath awareness — a soft landing for the nervous system to arrive.

From there, Alysa guides a cyclical, three-part breathing pattern inspired by curated music and somatic cues — to create profound space in the body and mind. Each session concludes with rest, reflection, and integration with an optional writing prompt to seal in your practice later.

This experience is especially helpful if you are moving through:

  • Stress, overwhelm, constant demand

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Recovery from addictive patterns

  • Mental fog or creative blocks

  • A longing for deeper clarity and safe guidance

Alysa's trauma-informed approach honors safety, consent, and self-attunement — allowing each participant to move at their own pace and depth of true transformation.

Come as you are — no experience necessary. Eye masks provided, or bring your own mask or scarf, chapstick, water, and a willingness to be transported through the power of your own breath.

Alysa specializes in nervous system regulation, somatic integration, and embodied presence.

Her breathwork approach integrates ancient pranayama, contemporary nervous-system science, and creative integration practices to support clarity, emotional steadiness, and grounded transformation.

Alysa’s introduction to breathwork began in 2014 through Holotropic Breathwork. Experiencing the work as both “breather” and “sitter” profoundly shaped her understanding of the breath’s therapeutic potential. Witnessing an entire room move through deep internal shifts using only breath opened a lifelong dedication to exploring its intelligence and healing capacity.

She continued her studies through ancient lineages, the modern work of Max Strom, and professional training in ReWild Breathwork, a trauma-informed approach to conscious breathing. This blend of tradition and science gives Alysa’s work a unique depth—both intuitive and evidence-informed.

Alysa’s facilitation style is grounded, warm, and steady. She creates a safe, contained environment where participants can access the breath’s innate wisdom without overwhelm. Her guidance supports staying rooted in the body while allowing space for imagination, intuition, and insight to arise naturally.

Whether working privately or with groups Alysa’s intention remains the same: to help people regulate their nervous system, release stored patterns, and return to presence—one breath at a time.
