Returning to the body. Remembering the breath. Reclaiming the story.
Hi, I’m Alysa
I help people return to themselves through the embodied practices of Body, Breath, and Story.
My work is rooted in my own recovery journey. After years of disconnect, performance, and numbing, I found my way back to presence through somatic movement, conscious breathwork, and expressive writing. These three practices didn’t just heal me — they rebuilt my life from the inside out.
Today, I share what I’ve lived: a grounded, trauma-aware, compassionate approach to regulation, clarity, and embodied transformation.
I guide individuals, groups, and organizations through experiences that help regulate the nervous system, awaken creativity, and restore authentic presence.
Whether I’m working with a private client, a treatment team, or an executive group, my intention is the same:
to create a safe, spacious environment where truth can emerge without force or performance.
I believe healing and leadership begin the moment we slow down enough to hear ourselves. Presence is the doorway.
My work is anchored in a framework I call The Presence Method™, an embodied approach that integrates:
BODY
Somatic movement, grounding, and nervous system attunement.
BREATH
Conscious breathing techniques to regulate physiology.
STORY
Reflective writing to integrate insight and inner wisdom.
This method supports clarity, emotional resilience, and authentic expression — whether you’re beginning your healing journey or stepping into deeper leadership.
My Story
In 2012, I entered recovery and began rebuilding my life with honesty, humility, and willingness. What unfolded was not a quick fix — but a profound return to myself.
As I continue to learn how to:
sit with discomfort instead of running
listen to my body instead of overriding
breathe through overwhelm
tell the truth on the page
rebuild my identity from presence, not performance- over and over!
Those practices became my medicine, my teachers, and eventually my life’s work. I am committed to doing the work on myself so I have the capacity to help others.
I’ve spent the last decade guiding individuals and groups through the same doorway of embodied presence — watching the lights come back on in their eyes the way they once did in mine.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe presence is the most powerful skill you can cultivate.
I believe healing is not about becoming someone new — it’s about returning to who you’ve always been.
I believe every body holds wisdom
every breath carries medicine
and every story contains truth.
And I believe we rise faster, stronger, and gentler when we rise together.
unlock the power of presence through body, breath and story.
You have done the work— maybe even overworked and lost yourself in the process of trying, the strategies no longer produce sustainable outcomes or resonate with your soul. Your nervous system seeks regulation rather than resilience, your creativity longs for freedom and your people need stability. It’s time to let go of preforming and to return to yourself- one movement, one breath and one word at a time.
